Roblox Discord bot questions
Does Roblox have a Discord bot?
Yes. Lots of Discord bots are made for Roblox groups, and you can make your own. A Discord Roblox bot runs your group's routine: SSU votes, shift logs, staff applications and more. With camelBot you describe it in plain words, try it in a private test channel, then add it to your server.
What is an ER:LC Discord bot?
It runs the routine around your ER:LC private server: SSU votes, startup and shutdown posts, shift logs, department applications and infractions. Staff and players do it all from Discord, with buttons, forms and slash commands.
How does an SSU vote work?
Staff open a vote with a target, like 5. Members press I'll join and the count updates live. When it reaches the target, your bot tells the host, and the startup post shares your join code and mentions everyone who voted.
Can staff clock in and out of shifts?
Yes. A shift panel has Clock in and Clock out buttons, and every shift is saved in your bot's own database. It can post a leaderboard of hours each week, on the day and time you pick.
Can it take staff applications?
Yes. Members answer a short Discord form. Each application lands in your staff channel with Accept and Deny buttons, and Accept can give the role and DM the applicant.
Who can use the staff commands?
You decide. Staff commands can be limited to members with a permission, like Manage Messages, or to the roles you name, like Supervisor.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. You describe the bot and camel-builder, our AI, writes it. You try it in a private test channel, ask for changes in plain words, and add it to your server when it's ready.
