Request

Make a staff application bot. /apply opens a form with four questions. Post each application in #applications with the answers and their picture, plus Approve and Deny buttons only staff can use. Approve gives the Moderator role and sends a friendly welcome DM. Deny asks for a reason and DMs it to them.

Application bot questions

8 questions · swipe

  • What is a Discord application bot?

It’s a bot that runs applications in your server. Members fill in a form right in Discord, their answers go to a staff channel, and staff approve or deny with a button. People who are approved get their role and a welcome message.

  • How do I make a staff application bot for Discord?

Sign in to camelBot with Discord and describe your form in plain words: the positions, the questions, and the role each one gives. Our AI writes the bot with no code. Try it in your private test channel, then add it to your server.

  • Can members apply for different roles?

Yes. Give each position its own button and its own form, like Moderator, Event host and Artist. Each approval gives that position’s role, and you can open or close positions whenever you like.

  • What can the application form ask?

Short answers, long answers, dropdowns, multiple choice, checkboxes, member and role pickers, and file uploads, so people can send a portfolio or a screenshot. Each position can have its own questions.

  • How do applicants hear back?

Your bot sends them a DM with the result. Approved members get their new role right away, and a denial can carry the reason staff wrote.

  • Can staff vote on applications?

Yes. Add vote buttons to each application, and the counts update as staff vote. Your bot can also start a thread on each one, so staff can talk it over before anyone decides.

  • Who can see and decide on applications?

Your staff. Applications post in a channel only staff can see, and only members with your staff roles can press Approve or Deny. Every application is saved in your bot’s own database, so you can look up anyone’s history.

  • Does it work for Minecraft whitelists and roleplay departments?

Yes. Any application works the same way: a Minecraft whitelist, a police or fire department, partnerships, or a guild or clan. Write your own questions and pick the role each approval gives.
