Starboard questions
What is a starboard bot on Discord?
It's your server's hall of fame. When a message gets enough reactions, the bot reposts it in a #starboard channel with the author's name and picture, any image and a link back to the chat. Want members to vote on ideas instead? A poll bot does that with buttons.
How do I add a starboard to my Discord server?
Describe it to camel-builder, our AI, in your own words. Try it in your private test channel, then add it to your server and pick All channels so it sees stars everywhere.
Can it use a custom emoji instead of a star?
Yes. Pick any emoji, your server's own included, and how many it takes to make the wall.
Can each channel need a different number of stars?
Yes. Ask for 3 in #memes and 8 in #general, or any numbers you like.
Does it skip people who star their own messages?
Yes, just ask for it. Your bot knows who wrote each message, so only stars from other people count.
Does the star count update after it's posted?
Yes. Your bot edits the #starboard post as more stars come in, and it can take the post down if the stars drop below your line.
Is the starboard bot free?
Yes. You can build and try it free right now, with no credit card.
