How do I make a Discord giveaway bot?
Describe it in plain words at bots.camelai.com, like the prize, how long it runs, how many winners and who can enter. Our AI builds it, you run a test giveaway in a private channel, and you add it to your server with a few clicks.
Can I try a giveaway before my server sees it?
Yes. Every bot gets a private test channel. Start a giveaway there, press Enter as the pretend members Alex and Sam, and run the draw early with Run now. Your server sees it only once you add the bot.
Can a giveaway require a role to enter?
Yes, just say it, like “only members with the Level 5 role can enter.” Your bot checks each person when they press Enter, and privately tells anyone who can’t enter yet what they need.
How does the bot pick the winner?
When time runs out, it draws at random from everyone still entered, and with several winners nobody is picked twice. Then it mentions the winners by name in the channel and updates the giveaway post to show them.
Can I reroll a giveaway winner?
Yes. Give your organizers a reroll command, like /lucky reroll. It draws a new winner from the people who entered and haven’t won yet, posts the result, and can save who asked and why.
Can boosters or active members get extra entries?
Yes. Tell it who gets more, like “server boosters get two entries.” It counts their extra entries in the draw and tells each person how many they have when they press Enter.
Can the bot DM the winners?
Yes. Ask it to send each winner a DM with the prize and how to claim it. The winner is also mentioned by name in your giveaway channel, so everyone sees who won.
Can giveaways run on a schedule?
Yes. It can start a giveaway every Friday evening and draw on Sunday, or end any giveaway at the exact time you set, down to the second.
