Discord translator bot FAQ

How do I add a translate bot to my Discord server?
Describe the bot you want at bots.camelai.com, or add camelBot in Discord and type /camel create. Try it in a private test channel, then add it to your server.
How does translating with flag reactions work?
Someone reacts to a message with a country's flag, and your bot replies to that message with its translation into that country's language. You choose which flags it answers to, like Brazil's for Portuguese.
Can it translate every message automatically?
Yes. It can translate every message in a channel and post the translation right under it, or link two channels so each side reads the other in its own language.
Which languages can it translate?
It translates with AI, so it works across many languages, from Spanish, Portuguese and French to Japanese, Korean, Arabic and Hindi. Tell it which ones your server uses.
Can it translate voice messages and screenshots?
Yes. It can write out what someone said in a voice message and translate it, and read the words in a picture, like a game menu or a sign, and translate those too.
Can it translate what people say in voice chat?
Yes. It can join your voice call, listen, and post what people say, translated, in the call's text chat. It tells the channel it's listening, and audio isn't stored, only the text.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. You describe your bot in plain words and it's written for you. You can ask for changes the same way.
Can I change how it translates later?
Yes. Ask for the change in plain words, try the new version in your test channel, and publish it when you like it. You can roll back to an earlier version anytime.

Bring everyone into the chat

React with a flag in your test channel and watch it answer.
