camelAI Terms of Service

Last updated: October 19, 2026

Questions about these Terms? Email support@camelai.com.

These Terms are an agreement between you and CamelQA, Inc., doing business as camelAI ("we", "us"). They cover camelRun, our hosted runtime for AI agents, including its API, SDKs, and plugin for ChatGPT and Codex; camelCode, our AI coding agent at camelai.dev, and the apps it publishes; and our website, camelai.com. Together, these are "our services". You accept these Terms by creating an account, using an API key, or otherwise using our services. If you don't agree, don't use them. Our Privacy Policy explains what data we handle.

camelBot, our Discord bot builder, has its own camelBot Terms. camelStream, which has shut down, has its own terms for its existing customers.

The short version

  • You must be at least 13, and you need a parent's permission if you're under 18.
  • You're responsible for your account, your API keys, and what your agents and apps do.
  • Don't use our services to harm people or break the law. We can stop agents, apps, or accounts that do.
  • AI makes mistakes. Check its work before you rely on it.
  • camelRun is prepaid, and camelCode's paid plans renew monthly until you cancel. Payments aren't refundable unless the law says so.
  • We're a small team. Our services come with no guarantees, and our liability is limited.

1. Using our services

You must be at least 13 years old. If you're under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission to use our services and to buy anything from us. If you use our services for a company or other organization, you accept these Terms for it and confirm you're allowed to, and "you" includes the organization.

Keep your account details accurate. You're responsible for everything done with your account, your API keys, and apps you connect, such as our ChatGPT and Codex plugin. Keep keys secret, and revoke any that leak. In camelCode, an organization's owners and admins control its workspaces, and what members build there stays with the organization.

2. Your agents and apps

You're responsible for the agents you run on camelRun and the apps you build with camelCode, and for what they do, including the messages they send and the money they spend. Agents act on their own, so set them up with care and use spend limits.

Connect them only to accounts and channels you're allowed to use, and follow those services' rules. People who can talk to your agent in a channel can use its tools under your account, and you pay for what they use. If other people use your agents or apps, tell them how you handle their data, and get any consent the law requires, for example before an agent transcribes a voice call. If you charge them, including through camelRun's end-user credits, that's between you and them.

Apps that camelCode publishes, on camelai.app or your own domain, are live on the internet. New apps are public, so anyone with the link can open them, until you make them private. You're responsible for what your apps host and show.

3. What's not allowed

Don't use our services, or let your agents or apps be used, to:

  • break the law, or infringe anyone's rights, including copyright, trademark, and privacy;
  • spam, or send messages people haven't agreed to receive;
  • harass, threaten, scam, or phish people, or collect passwords or other logins;
  • make or share sexual content involving minors;
  • write or spread malware, or attack or break into systems or accounts;
  • impersonate people or organizations, including camelAI;
  • host content that's illegal where you or your audience are; or
  • break, overload, or get around our limits, billing, or security, including by making extra accounts to get more free use.

Don't put health information covered by HIPAA into our services unless we've signed a business associate agreement with you.

Reporting a problem. To report an agent or app that breaks these rules, email support@camelai.com with what's wrong and where (for an app, its URL). For copyright, email legal@camelai.com with the work, the URL of the copy, your contact details, and a statement that you own the work or may act for its owner. We review reports, take down what breaks these Terms, and close the accounts of repeat infringers. To report a security issue, see our support page.

4. AI

Agents and camelCode act on what AI models say. AI can be wrong, offensive, or unexpected, and with real tools its mistakes become actions, such as deleted files or sent messages. Review its work before you rely on it or ship it, and don't treat it as professional advice.

5. Your content and ours

You keep the rights you have in what you give our services and what they make for you: your instructions, files, code, agents, apps, and their output ("your content"). You let us use it to run our services for you: to store and process it, send it to the model providers and other services you or your agents use, and host your apps. Our team may look at it when needed to help you, fix a problem, or look into abuse. You confirm you have the right to give it to us.

Everything else in our services, including our name and logo, belongs to us. If you send us feedback, we may use it freely.

Open source. camelRun's runtime is open source under the GNU AGPL, its SDKs and packages under the MIT License, and camelCode under the MIT License. That code is governed by its license; these Terms cover the services we run for you.

6. Other services

Our services connect to services we don't run, such as AI model providers, GitHub, Slack, Stripe, and MCP servers. Their terms apply to your use of them, and we aren't responsible for them. Model use on your own provider key, or on a ChatGPT plan you connect to camelCode, runs under your account and terms with that provider, and we don't charge credit for it.

7. Credits, plans, and payment

Prices are on our pricing page and shown before you pay. We take online payments through Stripe, and prices don't include taxes.

camelRun is prepaid: you buy credit, and your usage draws it down. New accounts can get starting credit once, on the conditions shown in the console. If you turn on automatic top-up, we charge your saved card whenever your balance runs low, up to the monthly limit you set, until you turn it off. When your credit runs out, new runs stop until you add more. Credit doesn't expire, but it has no cash value, can't be transferred, and is lost if you delete your account.

camelCode has a free plan and monthly paid plans, with Team billed per seat. Paid plans renew each month until you cancel, and upgrades and added seats are charged right away, prorated. If you cancel in your billing settings, your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for, then switches to the free plan. Paid plans include model credits, and you can buy more. We don't bill model use after the fact: when your credits run out, models that use them stop until you add more.

Except where the law requires otherwise, payments aren't refundable. If we shut down camelRun or camelCode, we'll refund credit you bought and haven't used. We may change prices, and we'll tell you before a change applies to a plan you already pay for. If a payment fails or is disputed, we may pause paid features until it's resolved. Free plans, starting credit, and free allowances can change or end at any time.

8. Suspending and ending

You can stop at any time. Delete your camelRun account on the console's Account page, or email support@camelai.com to close a camelCode account. Our Privacy Policy explains what we delete and what we keep.

We may suspend or remove agents, apps, or accounts, or end your access, if you break these Terms, if a payment fails, if the law requires it, or to protect people or our services. We may also limit or pause agents and apps that use an unusual amount of resources. When we reasonably can, we'll tell you first. We may change or stop any part of our services; if we shut a product down, we'll try to tell you ahead of time so you can export your data. When an account ends, its agents stop and its apps go offline.

9. No guarantees, and limits on our liability

Our services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We're a small team. Our services may go down, change, or lose data, and we don't promise any uptime. Keep your own copies of anything important.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for all claims is limited to the greater of US$100 and what you paid us in the 12 months before the event behind the claim. Some places don't allow parts of this; there, it applies as far as the law permits.

If someone makes a claim against us because of your content, your agents or apps, or your breach of these Terms, you'll cover our reasonable costs, including legal fees, as far as the law allows.

10. Disputes

Texas law governs these Terms. If you have a problem with our services, email legal@camelai.com first and give us 30 days to work it out. After that, either of us may bring a claim in small-claims court, or in the state or federal courts in Dallas County, Texas.

11. Everything else

If you've signed an agreement with us, such as an Enterprise order, it wins where it differs from these Terms.

We may update these Terms. If a change is significant, we'll tell you by email or in the product before it takes effect, and using our services after that means you accept it. Don't use our services where US sanctions or export laws forbid it. We may transfer these Terms if camelAI is merged, acquired, or sold; you can't transfer them without our permission. If part of these Terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and any agreement we've signed with you are the whole agreement between us about our services.
