CAMELSTREAM PRIVACY

camelStream Privacy Policy

Effective: August 23, 2026

Privacy questions or requests? Email legal@camelai.com. This policy covers camelStream only; the camelAI coding agent has its own Privacy Policy.

CamelQA, Inc., doing business as camelAI ("we", "us"), provides camelStream, a flat-rate AI inference service. This policy covers camelStream — the console at stream.camelai.com, its APIs, and its pages and cookies on camelai.com — and explains what we collect, how we use and share it, and your choices. The camelAI coding agent has its own Privacy Policy.

The short version: what you send through the API may be kept and used to train AI models — by our inference providers under their own policies, and potentially by us — and that is part of why camelStream is cheap. Your account details (name, email, billing information, API keys) are never shared with inference providers and never used for training.

1. What we collect

  • Account information. Your email address and sign-in details, your name and company if you give them, and your subscription and payment records. Card payments are handled by Stripe — we never see or store full card numbers. API keys are stored hashed.
  • API content. Everything you or your users send to the API (prompts, files, parameters), everything it returns, and request metadata such as timestamps, token counts, model route, latency, and status codes. You control what goes into it, including any personal information.
  • Usage data. Standard server logs, device and browser information, IP addresses, and cookies used for sign-in, security, preferences, and analytics (such as Google Analytics), including a first-party cookie that remembers how you first found us. No advertising cookies.
  • Messages. Support emails, and what you enter in the contact-sales form (name, email, company, role, what you need).

2. How we use it

We use account information to run your account, bill you, secure the service, support you, tell you about the product, and meet legal obligations. We never use account information to train AI models and never share it with inference providers.

We use API content to generate responses (by sending it to inference providers), to operate, debug, and protect the service — and potentially, by us, our providers, and our model-development partners, to train, evaluate, and improve AI models and services, including with human review. We separate API content from your account identity before using it for model development ourselves. Assume anything sent through the API can be retained and used for training. There is no opt-out on standard plans; no-training or zero-retention terms require a custom agreement (/stream/contact). Do not send sensitive data — card numbers, credentials, health information, information about children, or anything you are not allowed to share — because we cannot get it back from providers.

3. How we share it

  • Inference providers. They receive API content (never your account information) to generate responses. They may retain it and may use it for training under their own policies, may be anywhere in the world, and are outside our control — we cannot delete what they hold, and the set of providers changes without notice. Because providers give us better pricing in exchange, some US state laws may treat this as a "sale" of personal information; the only ways to opt out are a custom agreement or not using camelStream.
  • Service providers. Hosting and security (such as Cloudflare), payments (Stripe), email, fonts, and productivity tools (such as Google), and analytics — each gets only what it needs to do its job for us.
  • Model-development partners. API content only, for the training purposes above.
  • Legal and business. When the law requires it, to protect camelStream and its users, or as part of a merger, financing, or sale.

We do not sell account information, and we do not share your data for targeted advertising.

4. Retention and deletion

We keep information as long as we need it for the purposes above and for legal, billing, and security reasons. API content used for model development may be kept for years, and copies held by inference providers — or already reflected in a trained model — cannot be recalled. Closing your account (email support@camelai.com) removes your account information, but not any of that.

5. Your choices

Email legal@camelai.com to ask what we hold about you, or to correct or delete it. We will verify the request is yours and respond as the law where you live requires; depending on where you live, you may have further rights, including complaining to a privacy regulator. Marketing emails always include an unsubscribe link. You can block cookies in your browser.

6. Security

We use reasonable safeguards — encryption in transit, hashed API keys, restricted access — but no system is perfectly secure, so choose carefully what you send.

7. Where data lives

We are a United States company. Our vendors and inference providers may process data in the United States and in other countries, whose laws may differ from yours.

8. Children

camelStream is for adults, 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and we delete it if we learn we have.

9. Changes

We will post updates to this policy here with a new effective date, and give notice of material changes by email or in the console.
