Common questions about CamelAI and Google Sheets.

Is my Google Sheets connection secure?

Yes, your Google Sheets connection is fully secure. We use OAuth 2.0 for authentication and your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. If you revoke access permissions, the connection is immediately terminated and we will no longer have access to your Google Sheets data.

How is my data handled?

camelAI's infrastructure is hosted on AWS. Data from your Google Sheets is pulled every 5 minutes only while you're actively using camelAI. We don't pull any data when you're not using the service. The data is temporarily stored in an EC2 cache for processing and then deleted. For more information, please see our Security Policy.

How does camelAI connect to my Google Sheets?

camelAI establishes a live connection to your Google Sheets through the Google API. After you authorize access, camelAI can read your spreadsheet data in real-time. Unlike file uploads, this connection allows us to always work with the most current version of your sheets, especially valuable for collaborative documents with multiple editors. The connection remains active until you explicitly revoke it in your settings.

Do you store or log my Google Sheets queries?

We only store Google Sheets queries and results temporarily to fulfill your request. They are cached for up to 5 minutes and then deleted. We do not maintain permanent logs of your specific data queries or the content of your spreadsheets.

How do I revoke Google Sheets access?

You can revoke access to your Google Sheets in two ways: through your camelAI account settings or directly through your Google account's security settings under "Third-party apps with account access." Either method immediately terminates our access to your spreadsheets.

Do you train AI models on my Google Sheets data?

No. We do not train on any user data from Google Sheets, and we have opted out of data sharing for training. Your spreadsheet data is used exclusively to answer your specific queries and is never used to train our AI models. You can read more about OpenAI's API policies here.
