What each plan includes, how credits work, and the four ways to unlock premium models.
camelAI is free to start. Sign up and you can chat with the agent right away on Camel Free, our hosted model that costs nothing to use. No credit card required.
Paid plans raise the platform limits (deployed apps, automations, storage, seats) and include monthly credits for premium models like Claude and GPT. You can also unlock premium models without subscribing at all; see Unlocking premium models below.

Deployed app and automation limits are per workspace, except Team automations, which are counted per member. The time next to automations is how often each one can run. See Organizations and workspaces for how workspaces relate to your account, and Automations for what they can do.
Enterprise removes the limits above and adds SSO / SAML, bring your own cloud (deploy apps inside your own Cloudflare account), HIPAA / SOC 2, and dedicated support. Contact sales to talk through your requirements.
Unlocking premium models
Every plan includes Camel Free, and it handles everyday tasks well. It runs on shared capacity, so it can slow down at busy times. Paid plans get priority over free traffic.
Premium models (Claude, GPT, Gemini, and more) cost money to run. camelAI passes that cost through at the provider's rate with no markup. There are four ways to cover it, and all four work on any plan, including Free:
How these fit together
- Plan credits and top-up credits share one balance, and usage draws from it no matter where the credits came from.
- An API key replaces camelAI's hosted models entirely, including Camel Free. All requests go through your one chosen provider. If you want broad model coverage on a single key, use OpenRouter.
- Sign in with OpenAI is the exception: it works alongside any other setup and only takes over GPT models.
If you run out of credits
Your chat keeps working. You can continue on Camel Free, and your apps, automations, and workspace are untouched. To get back on a premium model, top up, upgrade your plan, add an API key, or sign in with OpenAI. Subscribers get fresh credits at the start of the next billing cycle.

Open Settings → Usage in your workspace.

Why prepaid
Credits are paid for up front, the same way OpenAI, Anthropic, and OpenRouter sell them. You only spend what you put in, and we only run requests against funded accounts, which keeps fraud and runaway bills off the table for both sides. The monthly platform fee is billed normally on a recurring basis through Stripe.
Changing plans
Upgrade, downgrade, or cancel anytime from Settings → Billing. Plan changes go through the Stripe billing portal.
